CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS please don't think that... that's destructive thinking, and when you do that to yourself, it brings you down even more. I know it seems like the day sucks, but there's always the chance of it getting better

IJWTS - We were supposed to go Popeye's for lunch yesterday, but when we got there, the wait was over an hour, so we went today. Good food. Terrible service, good food.

IJWTS I really don't like stuck up people. Today in class, this girl was talking to one of my friends right before a test and said out loud, "I don't even know what the nephron is!" And I overheard that while studying and said, "Oh, that's the functional unit of the kidney." She rolled her eyes at me and said, "You know what, nobody cares. Seriously."

IJWTS...I wish I could simply "overhear" things. Maybe facts could move into my brain like water across a membrane, as in osmosis.
