CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS - there really is something in the air. not only is everyone on CF matching up, but in the last week IRL I've known four people to get into a relationship (two of them with eachother the third and fourth with people I don't know), and yesterday a girl I used to babysit got engaged.

IJWTS: I love those in my faith... every time they talk I have always deeply respected them. I always pray for them and ask God to lead them perfectly. I felt better after talking to one earlier actually. I worry about them if anyone puts confusion in them, and I get depressed over those thoughts, wishing perhaps I blow those thoughts and have it disappear like a cloud evaporating. I am always careful with what I say around them, and not to say anything out of line. I could of brought things up but I didn't, for their own benefit.
I also love those outside of my faith.. though they can honestly never reach to the level I love them.

IJWTS - I am aching for an Ellerslie church service...if I had the extra money, I would hop on a plane to be there just for a weekend....

They have an app but it doesn't let you access the Singles forum directly. I'd think they'd want people to access areas of the forum that don't focus on theological minutia, conspiracy theories, or people's crazy politics. But oh well. I guess I'll go back to just using the browser for it.

IJWTS last night was just what I needed. Beer, poker, cigars, family and friends. Good times. And, of course, a late night run to Denny's made it perfect. And, the fact that we had Roger wait on us made it traditional. He cracks me. He practically ordered for me and wouldn't let me argue
