  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

IJWTS:
I'm watching Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.
Anyway, there's this part where they're getting out of the elevator and he says, "Here you are."
She asks, "Where?"
And he says, "On the street where you live."
My Fair Lady reference! Woo! :)

IJWTS~I seriously just want to pack my bags and move somewhere where it's summer all year long. Not looking forward to cold weather. Boo on cold weather. Gimmie sunshine, warm temps and the ocean and I'm set for life.:D Soooo Hawaii or Florida it is!

You live in the Carolinas. Where would you move to?

IJWTA - if new threads have a new thread smell, do us newbies have a new member smell?

I wonder, I'm fairly new too. Only been on here since the spring. It's been a great summer though.

IJWTA: You have church on Tuesday? huh, never heard of that before. Just mainly Sundays, Saturdays, and Wednesdays.

Women's Bible Study.

IJWTS- I didn't miss the thread splitting. Yay!!!

IJWTS: This was the highlight of my night.

*walking back to dorm from campus center*

Random Guy: *burp* excuse me!
Me: *turn around* Yes?
Random Guy: Oh no, I don't need anything, I was just saying 'excuse me', in general, because I burped.
Me: Oh, sorry. That didn't register in my head.

IJWTS -

Good luck.

See, I've experienced this before. You know, as a woman, how to turn on that compassion to get what you want. Read my mind, read my soul, *know me* and exercise that good will in the hope of breaking me - so I will be yours.

But I wasn't yours. Because I am aware of your type. You use virtue to satisfy need - sexual need - sensual need, personal need. You test with love. But love is only a tool for you. It isn't true charity - but a means to an end.

Have you ever seen "The Green Mile"? This is you. This is everyone.

I've even seen it in church - love with ulterior motives. It is ugly. It is human. It is part of our stain as humans.

In public, or when going out in general, i've started to wrap my hair a lot. It's getting to the point where i'm not sure I like my head without some kind of headscarf wrapped about it.

On a high note this gives me the perfect excuse to purchase pretty things that would be absolutely useless as real winter scarves. Brilliant.

Edit:

Oh, shake your moneymaker is stuck in my head. It's incredibly inappropriate to sing such a song in public, even if no-one else is in the reception area.
'cause you know, the moment you stand up and start really belting out "you've got to shake your money maker" someone will come in and catch you mid-shake. Being caught mid-shake by a pair of OAPs looking for the tourist advice centre does not leave a very good impression on them. I'm not sure if it's the shake so much as the bad singing.
