CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS somedays this place makes me never want to come back. Do people just forget that there are ACTUAL people behind these computer screens? I'm going to start reporting people now. I'm over seeing people I care about being treated this way.

Sometimes I seriously doubt people do consider that we are not a bunch of robots and actually people posting these words. Though my wanting to take a break is not because of that, it certainly has been in the past, more than once.
And please do report people. That's the only way to get some trolls out of here. I know some people are very anti-reporting, but CF staff won't do anything if people don't get reported.

I'm feeling the same here as well. Kinda wish I stayed away even longer.
The only real reason that I come here now is the hope of someday owning 100 billion blessings in my savings account.
As a true follower of Christ, I think that I deserve this.

IJWTS I've decided to be obnoxious and block most modes of contact on CF. I doubt anyone is desperate to speak to me, but I do still have reps open and have email if some want to exchange email addresses. And I'm still on FB, though I've been de-friending a lot of CFers.
