  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS that I just spent an obnoxious amount of time listening to the TV themes posted in that thread and was moved to tears (not sure why...lol)!! Will be curious to see if it leads to any weird dreams tonight! And on that note...should head to bed.

IJWTS I'd like to know how cutting calories, not eating before bed, and exercising like a good little girl = gaining a pound! WHAT THE HOOEY?! I'm about to threaten my bathroom scale with a hammer.

Don't weigh yourself before you've gone to the bathroom.....

Also, I read earlier that you are stuck or you've gained weight or whatever....you need to change up the difficulty of your bike ride. You say you're doing "5 miles a day for a year". Well are these 5 miles on the same path? Doing the exact same thing? If so, then you're not really helping your cause, you have to switch it up. Get that bike and take it a trail at a park. The hills and difficulty of the trail will make you sweat more, hence you lose more water weight.

I had some good advice one time, when I was trying to use muscle confusion when I was working out....if you want to confuse your muscles, add weight, then they are confused. Same thing with riding your bike, if you're doing the same 5 miles you're not doing anything to help yourself, you're using your muscle memory to go through the routine.
