CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IAJWTS four year olds should be locked up and not let out until they are no longer four. In fact, they should not even be allowed to be four. Just skip it and go straight to five. When I become president that is the first bill I'm going to pass.

IJWTS - So...a couple months ago, two children started out in the program...and the first day, their mom talked to me and let me know that she and her husband are going through a divorce and the kids haven't taken too well to changes, so she was a little concerned. The first day she came to pick them up, they were playing, and she came in and just watched them..When I approached her to talk to her, she was crying and told me that she was just so happy to see them smiling again.
Today was my last day, and when she came to get them, she had them give me a card...which had the sweetest thank you note in it from her and the kids and a gift card for the movies...and she started crying again and told me, "I'm just so grateful for this program and for you and Miss Kaley. You really care about these kids and they are so lucky to have you. And I cannot be grateful enough that you are the ones watching Z and M. They just have been so much happier since they started here."
THIS is why I loooove my job...not the getting compliments part - that just affirms it - but to truly make a difference in these children's lives...ugh...few better things in the world than that..
IAJWTS - Off to dinner with some siblings (....ps- you know you have a big family when going to dinner with four siblings seems like no one is there)

IJWTS someone driving up our hill just made my night...for some reason he was honking his horn, but (thankfully) it was soft and he played a beat! Like, seriously...he had a groovy rhythm goin' on there.
