CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS~What a night! Geesh! Lost power about 11:30pm and didn't get it back till sometime this morning. I'm tired and I really don't want to volunteer in the area I'm in anymore.
I'm sorry about the power thing..that's frustrating! Don't give up on the volunteering area just yet...with a lot of things like that the beginning always makes you feel like it's not for you...stick with it a while..you could end up finding you DO love it.

Don't give up on the volunteering area just yet...with a lot of things like that the beginning always makes you feel like it's not for you...stick with it a while..you could end up finding you DO love it.

IJWTS - That was difficult...my brother and his family are off for their vacation, and won't get back til after I'm gone, so I stopped over there to say goodbye...and we were trying to explain to my nephew just how long I would be gone...he kept saying "see you when we get back from vacaaaaaation!" And since he sort of gets calendars, I took him to his and showed him what day we were in, and what day I would get to see him again. He was like "so, you won't come over for that many days?" I told him, "no, I won't be able to come over for that many days.".."That's a lot of days Aunt May-May".."I know, buddy. But I can call on the telephone, will you talk to me?" He goes..."Yes. Will you call every day?"
