CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS- It occurs to me that this might be useful in this thread, if people don't read the "what is on your mind" one. If you don't want to see an individual's posts (for any reason, from offensiveness to they just rub you the wrong way), then put them on your ignore list. Below is step by step how to do that. (I share this because I would have left this forum for good awhile ago without this beautiful little feature.)
Here's how to put somehow on your ignore list:
Go to your "User CP" (on the upper left side of the screen)
Then look at the "Control Panel" > scroll down to "Settings & Options"
Click on "Edit Ignore List" and type in the username of the person you want on your ignore list.
Another option is just to go to that person's profile and (under the profile picture) click on "user lists" and "add to ignore list."

And I spent hours shopping with my youngest brother today for a new wardrobe for him as his had gotten down to 2 pairs of jeans, 2 t-shirts and a set of tennis clothes. How sad is that?

Raiders of the Lost Ark...
I mean..no doubt my brothers took it since I didn't get as much use out of it as they were hoping (I've yet to watch it at all, actually)...and since I'm leaving, I told them to take the movies they wanted...
but..I can't get a hold of any of them either...darn them working on holidays
