IJWTS-It's almost 8 pm. I should probably make something for dinner.

It's not right to do things like that flippantly. You have good reason to be hurt, as does anyone. Paying attention to someone like that is supposed to be reserved for those you are committed to. There's a reason God designed the human psyche to respond with attachment when someone shows you affection. Playing loose with those gifts of affection is no less than lying. A person is saying "I like you! I want you! You're special to me!" with no intention of backing it up long term. It's not right.

IJWTS - I'm sometimes guilty of transgressing the very thing that I condemn. I tend to either not know that I'm causing an attachment or not care. Wickedness.

IJWTS I absolutely looooooooove going out with my friend and having to be right there when guys hit on her and then have them completely ignore me. It happens so often that I really look forward to it when we go out. It feels soooooooooooo good to be ignore and unnoticed. It's probably the best feeling ever. I would say on a scale from 1-10...it feels about a 10 on the awesome meter.

Perhaps you don't notice when guys are checking you out as much because they try to do it when you have your back turned? I know if I'm trying to see what a woman looks like, I often try to avoid her noticing me doing so. I don't want to have to face her reaction (because she might be put off by me).

And honestly, considering that 90% of the guys that are hitting on your friend are probably not Christians, you aren't missing much. Good looks make up about 1% or less of any successful relationship.

And if you really wanted to stand out, you could always travel with someone who was considered ugly, and then all the potential attention would be pointed at you.

And I've certainly seen far worse than you when it comes to society's standard of attractiveness, so I know you have a lot going for you. Perhaps your friend spends a lot more money or time on her looks than you, and then you could feel better because you were giving more money to people in need, or were spending more of your time helping others or something. Honestly, I found there is often a negative correlation (when one part goes up, the other part goes down) when it comes to beauty and godliness. Those who are incredibly beautiful are often the ones who spend excessive amounts of money to look that good, when they should be using that money to help people in need (or even just be paying off their credit cards or loans).

IJWTS - So, tonight I heard a Michael Jackson song I had never heard before...I think it's called "can you feel it"...and I realized what a complete GEEK I am when I started seeing different blockings and choreography and hearing different arrangements of it in my head....ohhhhh some show choir needs to do that as their opener...perfect!!!


(...and no, my geekiness about show choir is in no way associated with glee - I loathe that show...I was a geek starting way back when I was three and watched my sisters on stage and decided I would do that one day too..so, yeah )



IAJWTS - My three year old niece is the sweetest ever! She looked out the window, and saw all the snow was gone and said, "where did winter go?" and then she looked up in the sky and said, "AHH...SUN!!!" in a yelling at it tone oh she cracks me up

Satanism is very real in this world. Do the research and you WILL see. I've been educated on how much influence Satan has had in this world and continues to do so...there are many that are yielding to Him daily...that's right Satan is a being...not just a 'force'.
