CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My FB status update says it all: Today, I saw a number on the scale that I haven't seen in several years. And no, the scale isn't heading in the wrong direction.
Thats cool I'm on a personal mission to get in A+ shape myself. We should PM each other for some well-intentioned edification.

IJWTS- Tonight I called my aunt's cat Princess Crackhead because she was acting goofy (the princess part is because she's kind of prissy)...and she kept responding to it. That's my new nickname for her.

The flesh can never satisfy. Only Jesus can fill your life. The devil WILL come to take away all that is good from your life. But Jesus loves you so so so much and would never do that. He wants to give you life and it more abundantly! Please don't let go of Him. Tonight I felt the attack of the Devil, but I STILL know that my Savior lives! For those who have struggles, hold on to Jesus, he loves you and will be there for you more than any friend/relative/whoever you think you have in your life. Amen

IJWTS The two hour walk didn't really help, but the 40 minutes at the beach watching the waves crash did. Something soothing about the power of the waves.

I really need to remember to shut my mouth when discussing results. Or rather just keep stum about the disappointment involved when the grade is actually pretty respectable when friends have gotten far less.

IJWTS that my home state of Oklahoma has churned out some pretty awful music. However, we do have The Flaming Lips and I believe that rights all of our musical wrongs. I'm so glad I live in a world where albums like The Soft Bulletin exist.
