Awesome! Glad you two had a good time!IJWTS- that I just got back from meeting JessLovesPugs for dinner and she is even more awesome in person
and Netflix is addicting. The end.
Ethie, I'm so sorry you're in the hottest place in Cali right now. I prayed for your safety today. I hope it cools off.IJWTS- The heat is really getting to me. It was so bad that I could not function for the meetings today. I had to drink a lot of water just to get through it, and now I felt really faint. Its so bad. I feel like there is no air to breath.

Thank you Keri, I hope so too. I still my breathing is not normal. So, I'm in my bed. I can handle heat but this is so bad. I feel like I'm in a box without any air.
Thanks for the tips. I know it got 109 in SLO yesterday. The temps are normally in the 70's here in the summer and the occasional hot days never get above te 90's. So, there are a lot of people here without a/c in their houses because it's simply not needed. So for those of us without a/c it really is too hot to even be inside. My mother and I had to go shopping and to a movie in order to stay cool on Sunday and I was thankfully indoors all day at class yesterday. Most coastal Californians simply aren't used to or prepared for this kind of freakish weather. It's a shock when you're not used to it, but as long as you aren't out running marathons without water in that heat, it'll likely be fine.
I would also like to say y'all should pray for the entire Phoenix metropolitan area all summer. It gets over 110 degrees twenty days a year in Phoenix.
A few tips:
*Do try to avoid going out as much as you can during the hottest part of the day.
*Put some gloves in your car so you don't get second or third degree burns from the seat belt. Your steering wheel may also be too hot to touch.
*Park somewhere shaded if possible. Shade trumps distance from a/c.
*Don't turn the a/c in your car on high until you've gone a mile or two, otherwise your a/c will blast out 150 degree air.
*Breathing does get labored when you're in a car that has been sitting in 110+ temps in the direct sun for hours. It'll cool down and you'll be able to breathe soon.
*Don't leave anything remotely sticky or meltable in your car, including but not limited to lotion, chapstick, chocolate, and DVDs.
Anyone else for tips for surviving 113 degrees?
IJWTS it's 90+ degrees out and I'm wearing a thick sweater b/c I have chills.I will not get sick!!! WILL NOT!! Do you hear me, body?!?! I said... I will NOT get sick!
