CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS~Praying the snow passes over us. I was supposed to go to WinterJam tomorrow night but looks like that's not happening. Stupid winter weather!

IJWTS that today one of the kids where I work said the cutest thing! Kirk and I had stopped by the church to meet with the organist and the pastor. When we got there we stopped in the church's school so I could introduce Kirk to my coworkers and the kids. One of the kids I work with said, "Hey! Are you MISTER Melissa?" It was so funny (and adorable because he's really little).

IJWTS I'm leaving for charlotte early early early in the morning and of course I can't sleep This drive won't be fun, specially in the snow, and specially since after I get there we'll be up running around and doing all sorts of fun stuff all day! I may need a 5 hour energy or 2 or 3...
