CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ijwts- sometimes i wish God would send me a detailed letter.... Dear mina, do this and go here because that's part of my plan; don't do this or don't do that because it might not be a good idea for you.
I realize i have the Bible and I love God's word and find it rich in wisdom , but sometimes i want specifics b/c i'm dumb and i don't get it a lot of the time.

IWJTS -- Mina, you are far from dumb. God has gifted you with His Holy Spirit to guide and direct you. As a human, it's sometimes hard for us to discern which way to go even with His Spirit residing in us. With that said, I'm praying for you. I hope you know that! You are loved, lady!

No need to feel dumb; I feel like this most of the time too. I feel like at this point I should be smart enough to get everything right but I usually don't. I love free-will but sometimes I wouldn't mind God controlling me long enough to point me in the right direction.
