IJWTS that my car is stuck...

I've been trying to shovel it out for over a half and hour and I can't get it - if only the person behind me didn't park so close to my car....

And...i'm supposed to be at work - thank God for morning people coworkers who take pity on me and go in....

IJWTS I went ahead and texted "yele" to 501501 and it donates $5 to yele.org which is Wyclef Jean's organization for the Haitian people.

IAWTS if anybody is reading this another alternative is to txt "HAITI" to 90999 and it will donate $10 to the Red Cross' operations in Haiti.

IJWTS my church owns a hospital and several other buildings in Haiti (it's their big mission field). They don't know what the damage on their buildings are yet but after reading all the news articles and knowing the church will be providing lots of ways to get down there, I have an urge to just go to Haiti like asap and start helping. And I know I can't cuz of work I don't like this feeling.

IJWTS maybe you can help with prep work for relief items they will be taking and/or donating some items for their efforts. That way, you can still help even though you can't go.

I had to do that for Hurricane Katrina and my church. I was pregnant with the youngest mancub and they wouldn't let me go when they sent crews up to help, so I helped them gather supplies and pack the trailor they were taking so I could at least contribute somehow.

wow I didn't even think about that, thanks for the suggestion! I'll shoot them an e-mail and see if they have any ways for me to help.

True dat, Kev, call your local Red Cross or something, they can always use volunteers to help pack/load or even answer some phones, take donations, or help coordinate something.

I had a strange thing happen today. I've been thinking about buying a new truck to pull the boat (old one is a 98) so I've been shopping for financing.

I went to the local citibank office on the east side of town and they refused me outright. "That's insane" I thought, "I have a great credit rating"

So I went to the other bank I remembered on the west end of town. Turns out it is owned by Citibank too. But they agreed to loan me however much I want.

I have cat allergies, too and let me tell you.. it isn't impossible to date someone who has cats. I've done it before (probably wouldn't do it again, like, tomorrow) even though I think some of them are adorable and cutesie-poo and whatever. What I've learned is that it isn't about the fur so much as it is the cat's saliva. When cats "wash" themselves, they leave off that soon-to-be-dried-up saliva on their fur which causes the allergic reactions. Also, certain breeds can cause more probs than others. If the chick is like me, she hates having stray hairs on her clothing, too. But, whatever. It's called a lint roller. If you love your lolcats and you love the lady... mmeh, have her take a skin test. Maybe all she needs are some meds. Depends how bad she gets, I guess.
