CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am sure we had a copy of Little Women, I think a whole box of books got lost when we moved one time and that was one of them
Have you read the other 3? I love the film of LW so much too! I got about 6 books for Christmas, then I bought 2 more 
and I have library books too! Oh dear lol.

Nope, have not read the other 3! Oh and according to my uni library I rented out some books and haven't returned them, now I have a fine and I cannot remember where I put the books
I hate that! Once one disappeared under my bed and I found it months later
And another time when we were moving house in like 2001` we found a library book that was due back sometime in 1992 My dad was like 'shall we tell them? how big will the fine be??'

While I totally understand that having a parent's approval is what we would like, what really matters is what you and your bf think. IJWTS - there are members of my fiances family who are not super thrilled with the idea of N and I getting married - has to do with their view of divorce/remarriage. It was difficult for me at first and still is in some ways but the family members have warmed up to me and will be attending our weddingIJWTS - thanks you guys.
Give it some time...just keep being yourself and loving your boyfriend...in the end, I believe that is what a mom truly wants - a woman who will love her son as much as she does

One of my relatives is faithful to her "live in" husband (they've never had a formal ceremony). Some members of my family aren't crazy about calling him "Uncle Bob" or "Grandpa Bob" or what have you. Still, he just does his best to carry on with his life and love those he considers family.

IJWTS I will be praying for her to have a change of heart. Is it for cultural reasons? My sister's MIL was very against my sister and BIL's relationship b/c my sister isn't Greek. They've been quite happily married for like 10 years now or something.
