IJWTS Married Couples Version!

I figured it'd be nice to have one of these threads where we can all share stuff I know there's an IJWTS thread in the women's private forum, but hey, some of the guys here are my friends, too!

IJWTS that you just never know when things will explode around here! One of our nurses just about collapsed suddenly just a few minutes ago, we had to call 911 and everything (of course, I get picked to be the caller, the runner, the door-holder for the paramedics, etc). Poor thing. If anyone would care to say a prayer, her name is Christina. Sometimes it's our clients who fall out and need an ambulance, but sometimes it's us! lol

I sometimes wonder why this section is called "Married Couples" and not just "Married People". My husband doesn't post here, so I'm not really a "married couple" presence on this site, I'm just the wife lol. Ah well.

IJWTS - I'm always kinda irked when I construct a well formulated argument about a subject - and it kills the conversation (especially when everyone prior to my post was really passionate about the subject...lol)

IJWTS we're thinking about taking a family road trip to Texas in the spring! Hubby has to go there for medical stuff anyway, and we all want to see our Texas family & friends again, and since the Nub has a week off school anyway, why not just make it a family trip? Huzzah! I'm so excited!

Nubbie's got a fever... sigh... I thought we might just survive till Christmas without becoming victims. Praying for supernatural protection for the rest of us!

Came back from my mom’s doctor appointment today. The bad news is that she has had a lump on her breast for over two years and did not go to the doctor. Tests were run and she has cancer in one breast and cancer in one lymph node under the arm. I was afraid that it was stage 4 but the good news, or less bad news, is that it is clinically stage 2B. The breast tumor is 2.1 x4.7 = T2 and the lymph node is .7 x 1.0, whatever that means. The other good news is that it has not spread to any organs. What I got relief from was when the doctor said, as for the lymph node size that is “GOOD NEWS”. In response to the overall prognosis considering the circumstances the doctor said “Lots of good prognosis”.


She is going to start taking “Armotasin” (SP?) for several months to shrink the tumors and then see about surgery. My mother is 89 but in real good health and is still working part time. She is a German and loves to accomplish and work. My mother is a Rock Of Gibraltar and is amazing!


We are a very close family and one or more of us visit mom every other day and sometimes every day. This has been going on for over 30 years. Today at the doctor’s office we were there to support her; me, my sister, my mom’s granddaughter and grandson. I was also relived when the doctor finished telling us about mom’s cancer mom said with excitment; Hey, let’s all go to the restaurant and eat a good supper!

Anyway, it was a pretty messed up song. But I'll probably think of it when I see this thread.

IJWTS can all of us calm down, quit attacking each other's viewpoints and enjoy the season as God's gift of His Son to us?

It just gets tiresome reading the same people forcing the same arguments daily.

I am a Godist, humanist, feminist, manist, childist believer in the Unseen. To many people, that makes me just as hindbound as some Forum folks' views on marriage.

And yes, I am still here, grandfathered in because I was here while married and *most of the time* I still enjoy talking with you all.

Annessa, I agree, it'd be nice if we could all take a vow of "peace" around Christmastime.

Nubbie's still got a fever and a bad cough. Sigh. If he isn't improved tomorrow, we'll head to a walk-in clinic.

Supposed to be picking up my aunt from the airport tomorrow, so I'm praying that at least the hubby and I can remain healthy! There is literally no one else who can pick her up, my mom can't do it because she has to be with my dad 24/7 at this point.

Just feeling irritated and tired today. Like, I can't have good things happen without some bad things trying to squirm their way in, too.

Sdm, I'm sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis, but thank God they seem to have caught it before it progressed too far! She's 89 and still working and has such a good attitude, so kudos to her!

I hope you all are having a good Christmas season so far.
My little one is sick, so I'm dealing with a runny nosed, coughing little misery, but on the plus side, I get lots of cuddles.
Which means I should start to feel sick RIGHT in time for Christmas. Lol

Niffer! Nice to see you again! It seems like this year there are a lot of things going around right now. I don't usually hear about them at Christmas - usually after, but this year people seem to be getting it early. I hope it does not spoil your Christmas.

Inka, I love Annessa's idea too...peace, people! And then make a new year's resolution to bring peace to the boards throughout the year.

Definitely a lot of crud circulating right now. At least I'm not alone in having a sick munchkin He's so cute, he keeps emailing me to update me on his EXACT temperature lol.

I HATE dealing with medical insurance billing for services we've gotten. It's a guessing game as to how much we're going to pay. Grrrrrr. And reps in the billing offices are RUDE and act like I'm asking them to sign over their deed on their home when I simply ask for a "paid in full" statement. My goodness!
