CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

But maybe you can ignore yourself?!
Sometimes, that could be good advise.
I think at times we all say things that make absolutely no sense or sound so unbiblical or extrabiblical. Yet, we know what we meant, we just did not say it right. Oh well.

I did use the ignore button on someone once, for about 2 days, but curiosity got the better of me and I found myself logging out of CF to view as a guest so I could read their posts.
I realised at that point I was being ridiculous and took them off ignore!
Yes, Yes, Yes...same thing happened to me..I could not resist seeing what they said after putting them on ignore..BTW, go ahead and hijack the thread..It was headed for 'deletion' anyway..is that word? "deletion"

I was originally asking why did the ignore button get removed ( I just noticed that day )..but then thought, oh well....who cares....My first, middle and last name initials...I also was 29 at the time I joined CF..wow....I am getting old..
I remember not being able to think of anything else at the time to use ...so I thought, "Hey, my initials..."..
