Baseball stinks because it is so, so boring. Nascar is where you go around and around. Basketball is the same way up and down back and forth.

Nascar is one of those sports that screams out to me- I have no other athletic talent and I'd probably die an early death of heart attack if I tried a sport that required running...So lets drive in circles really fast to compensate for my lack of athletic ability.

I don't know, Nascar isn't like driving a regular car around a city, you do have to be in shape to be competitive. It is a pretty physically demanding sport.

It's a symantic issue, just like whether or not cheerleading is a sport.

What about horse racing? Sport/non sport? I mean, just like Nascar, the horse(car) is "doing the work". But I still think you have to be in good shape to handle a 700hp car at 180+ mph.

I was a cheerleader, and it takes an incredible amount of athletic ability, but I would argue that cheerleading is not a sport. There's no goal, nothing to accomplish, you don't get to hit anything or anybody and scoring is totally subjective... But it's some workout.

You could possibly persuade me to watch hockey, though... That seems pretty exciting.

It's really not like gymanstics at all. In gymnastics you have elements to a program that must be completed to the highest level of proficiency. There's no such thing in competitive cheerleading. You throw together a few stunts and some dance moves, set to nifty music, and try not to fall on your butt in the middle of a back handspring or drop the flier at the end of the Dagger Drop. You're then evaluated on how much skin your uniform shows, how cute you are and whether or not the judge fell asleep during the routine. The end.

It's a fun activity if you can get over how fake the competitions really are. What's really funny are the people that treat it like the Olympic trials. Gag me.

All the UCA regional competitions are usually held at a college campus in your neighborhood... Usually around October or November after the football seasons end.

Real sports

football, nascar, basketball, hockey, soccer, cheerleading

not sports
baseball, wrestling(unless it is the WWE), tennis, golf,

Ugh. WWE wrestling is no more a sport than you just listed cheerleading as a sport. Nascar is not a sport either. It's not even entertaining.

Baseball, although incredibly boring, is a sport, as are tennis and golf. I think your perception of sport vs. non sport needs some tweaking.
