If you had to spend one year a country that is not your own which would it be?

Ok, the question is, if you had to spend a year in a country that is not your own, which country would it be? Also, if you want, include why.

I would probably choose Israel. Why: I am fascinated by biblical history and there are places all through out Israel that are of historical significance. I would also really enjoy learning the language and the culture and to find out what Israelis live with each day.

Mexico, Thailand, Africa. I've known people who've lived in those places who rather enjoyed the reliance on God forced upon them in many situations. It would also help me be more appreciative of the life I lead here, no longer taking for granted the blessings given to me.
Natural breathtaking beauty would also convince me to stay.
