If you could have a successful ministry, where would your efforts lie? What sect of humanity would you effect?

I am a firm believer in the the proverb of "give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime." I have seen too much of the welfare system and can see it does not work. I am all for helping people, but the system does not help them. We need to some how, I don't pretend to know how, help them learn needed skills and self worth. My heart brakes for a people who don't know their own value because society and their own culture has devalued them. So I would touch the hearts of a broken people and help lift them up in an effort to better not only the individual, but society as a whole. Giving usable and needed skills and with that comes self worth. Jesus said "if a man does not work, neither should he eat." This is because of what comes from being a functioning part of an ecosystem, pride and self worth. KNOW YOU (yes you) are an important cog in whatever you do. Even when our lives seem to be pointless. I know the Lord put me in my job for a good reason.

What is on your heart?

(btw, I am not suggesting getting rid of social programs, just improving them)

Honestly... I think if I could work in any field, it'd be working with immigrant children and families. Helping them learn English and adjust to life in a new country.

I'd open a homeless shelter. Not just a place for them to come in and sleep. I'd invite them in, feed them, give them clothes, share the gospel, help them find work and get on their feet. I would help them to overcome addictions they may have and just help destroy the strongholds in their lives.

It's like when they tell us not to give animals food because they'll become dependent on it. They don't think humans become dependent on free stuff too?

In the future I'd like to start some sort of organization to help victims of sexual abuse. I know too many people who have been affected by that.

Everyone's ideas of ministry are great. I've often thought about a ministry to be apart of or even start myself, but there's so many things one could do. I adore one ministry in my area that I give to you when I can, it's called the Sanford Crisis Pregnancy Center. The woman who started it and runs it is wonderful. It's such an amazing ministry and it's definitely making a difference for the women in the area.

I used to think a good plan would be to round up all the homeless people, give them bows and arrows, and put them in the woods.

And I think it is "if a man won't work". I don't know where it is well enough to pull up the scriptures on it though.
Plenty of people out there who are unemployed or disabled and currently not working by traditional standards, but also not taking advantage of anyone either

For a while, I've wanted to go to Norway or a scandinavian country and work with those caught up in the black metal or death metal scene. Just settle in and build relationships with people and share Jesus.

Nah, I was just joking around. Although I'm not sure how well you're going to be received down there. Most of that satanic stuff is just for show, and I suspect most of them are good people underneath. I highly doubt you'll be turning many people to Christ.

I just think your efforts would be better put to use elsewhere.

From what I've heard and listened to I see more paganism and atheism than actual satanism. But either way, I don't see much hope there. Even if there wasn't much to come out of that, years spent enjoying relationship and showing genuine care wouldn't be a waste. A life could be spent in worse ways. But it's just something I've thought on for a bit, I don't know if it'll come to fruition.

What do you mean by no hope? That they will never find Jesus? At least they don't seem to be physically suffering. Like I said, most of the people there don't take the lyrics to heart. I listen to black metal myself a lot, and I think a lot of it is cheesy, and just some good fun. If you take it seriously you're an idiot. Although messages like thinking for yourself are not entirely bad.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

You were right, it was Paul (most think anyway) AND it was won't. You both get A's!
