FYI, the threads reddogs copied over to CARM from various websites presenting SDA beliefs are being responded to point by point even though no discussion was initiated at their posting. People are taking the time to respond in a serious manner (as well as some in a humorous way too). If you're willing to actually discuss them please come and do so.

I don't want to sound discouraging here but if you want to expose yourself to an unfair and biased environment go ahead. I can't remember the last time I intentionally held my finger out on an anvil and let someone hit it with a hammer. OH,,,, well that may be a little bit of an over characterization of the way it may be to go to Carm, but hey,,,, I'll admit to be prejudiced about that forum having been there for awhile.

I can't imagine them even leaving those threads up on the forum after they suspended red for posting them. Usually what ever causes a suspension gets deleted on Carm.

Anyway...

The offer is open for anyone willing to participate in actual discussion over SDA beliefs, doctrines, or teachings. Reddogs posted dozens of points and there are people giving serious responses to them.

They don't often close or delete whole threads. They allow them to be discussed/debated as long as it's within the rules.

LOL! There are many who have been posting for longer than I have, and they're still there. I think most just don't want to discuss or debate what they believe...at least not with those who may disagree with their position.

I would say that from what I saw of it CARM is quite hostile to Adventists.

There is no reason to go there when you can discuss all you want in denomination specific theology, and the mods here have to go through the warning, infraction, etc. system.

I'd dust off your slightly charred seat and just consider that as a sign that you weren't supposed to accomplish anything for God over there.

I understand that it's easier to just not discuss issues with SDA beliefs, and that it's easier to just move on to another topic. But maybe some who felt equipped to deal with the issues and not just ignore them would be willing to come and discuss rationally the pages of material that were pasted on the boards representing YOUR beliefs, since the original post cannot for 6 more days.

For those who don't want to come, don't. That's fine. But maybe someone ELSE would want to discuss what he posted. You know, we're human beings too, not just a screen name. We have hearts and we love Jesus for what he's done for us. It's not like you would die in cyberspace for discussing what you believe with other members of the body of Christ.

It was this type of incidious, veiled incinuation/accusation that got us into this 'discussion' in the first place. And this is how you're allowed to talk about other Christians here on CF, but if we respond you all report it and we're the ones that get warned or suspended. You think that the qualifier 'if' lets you off the hook, but the accusation has already been made. How do your false accusations against the body of Christ further the cause of Christ? How do they lift him up?

You CAN debate in denominational-specific theology. You cannot debate here.

If they don't want to go to CARM, why don't you just go to DSD here?
