If we have more than one sexual partner does this mean that we can never know what would have been?

Couples that come together as virgins feel a perfect 'oneness' that they share with no-one else.
Obviously if either one of them has been joined to another this is no longer possible because memories of previous experiences will be part of the most intimate moments of their marriage union. Does this mean that they can never know what would have been if they were 'one flesh' with each other?

In Christianity, sex is considered sanctifying. Therefore, staying with one partner is ''more interesting'' to Christian couples, than it is to atheists.

If you did x but not y, for any choice, you cannot know how things would have turned out had you done y.

My answer here would be yes, those who have been with other men/women can in fact experience a total oneness with someone whom God would bring them together with. There's an old saying, "Time heals all wounds," and if a couple who truly love one another come together in Christ and grow into a deeper union with one another spiritually, soulishly, emotionally, mentally, and psychologically than they ever had with anyone in their past, most certainly the past will get completely swept away in a sea of love and passion, to be long forgotten and almost seem laughable by comparison in hindsight.
