CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't understand what the question has to do with church though. At any rate I would be a wreck if my girlfriend were to leave. She is my bestfriend and I don't any accomplishments if she's not going to be there with me. I love this girl with all my heart and for her to leave or us break up would be horrible.

ugh I dont know what I would do, it would be tough to go to church and see her. I dont think I could be at church and effectively pay attention and worship God, my heart would wrench every time i saw her and she would be on my mind the time.

if my bf would ever leave me....i think i would have to distance myself from everything that has ever been assossicated with my boyfriend....i think that would be a time in my life where my faith would be tested...

oh yeah, faith out be tested for me, but i dont go to the same church as my girlfriend. But i would try to stay friends with her depending on how the break up was. If it was bad it would probably take some time to forgive, or be forgiven...but i wouldnt ignore her.

You do not attend or leave a church because that is where your boyfriend/girlfriend or ex-boyrfriend/girlfriend goes.
if you attend or leave a church based on that alone there is a problem. Church is not s o you cane be with your boy/girlfriend. Nor is it a viable excuse to leave a church.

Imagine how relationships with ur frenz in church(either in cell groups or other groups) will turn once u break up with either him/her.....i am sure it will be difficult for ur frenz as well.....leaving church does not mean that a person will leave God rite???

depends on the size of the church, the church environment you hang around in, and if you have somewhere else to go.
i moved to another city. it's been hard finding a church that compares to the church i've grown up in. if i did find it, i wouldn't be that eager to give it all up for an ex.

Just as love does not pick religion, I believe that the people that attend the same Church as I do not have a bearing if I were to stay or leave. Church is one of the only places I know where we can forget we are but mere people and share in the ONE SPIRIT, divided from hate and all things evil. I would hope my reverence to God and my loyalty to my Church could overcome such an event as me being separated from the one I love...
