If the Answer is No
When the sun goes down
At the end of the day
Can you be content
With the person that remains
When you look in the mirror
Do you like what you see
Have you truly become
The person you want to be
If the answer is no
What should you say
Should you try again
Some other day
Another tomorrow
A future that's new
Or will you cease to be
Anyone but you
Does anyone know me
Does anyone care
Does anyone worry
About the burdens I bear
If the answer is no
Is there a reason to continue
A reason to believe
That I can be made new
Everday, I feel the shame
Consistently thinking
I should take all the blame
Should anyone want
A broken soul like mine
Should I invest in God's people
Or am I just wasting my time
Chasing after a relentless dream
Wanting someone to see
The true me
If the answer is no
How shall I cope
Lost and alone
Without any hope
Of seeing my future
Right in front of me
Of seeing the "come true's"
Of all of my dreams
How do I come back
How do I get home
When I have been lost in the dark
And left all alone
Can I answer these questions?
What if the answer is no?

I don't exactly remember why I wrote this poem, but it still holds meaning for me, and I like reading it. Oh well, tell me what you think.
