If man is evolving, why is there still war?

They do claim that mutations are beneficial, no? They do claim species evolve and get better..no? There is more war today than in Adam's day. Funny, that.

What do you consider 'Adam's day?' Becase if your comparing a time when there was only two people to a time when there's about 7 billion, that doesn't strike me as a fair comparison.

Adam lived some 935 years if I recall or something close.

I notice a lot of war today, Isis, and al shafrigamabob, and Syria, and on and on. I also see Russia ramping up the nukes, and Nato seemingly forcing WW3. I see drone terror and remember Iraq and etc etc. The bible says that about over half of the population will be killed in fact in the coming days and years. Wars have always been here, but they are in full bloom today....and set to get a whole lot worse real real fast.

Not that I believe any of it actually happened, but weren't the people before the flood so horrendous and evil that God had to wipe the planet clean to even have a chance of peace?

Not just that but one of the creatures that evolution has produced is the one responsible for all this. If you look at the naturalistic driving force of evolution in that it is always trying to evolve a beneficial mutation for adaptation to the environment for survival humans are now stuffing all that up. Humans are destroying the very environment they are suppose to adapt to.

Some animals survive by finding ways to adapt to their environments and some go extinct. But now it seems humans are intervening in that process and destroying the animals habitats so fast that they dont have time to adapt. So the process of evolution has created its own monster which is systematically destroying itself and all the other species and the environment it lives in. If this is the end result of evolution each time then it is defeating the purpose of having evolution in the first place. .

I dont think man evolves too much anymore. Culture has made it possible for almost everyone to survive and reproduce.

That doesn't explain war. Do you think we inherited that from monkeys? Obviously not. Man is getting worse and worse in the war dept, so that must be evolving, no?

I'm sorry, but I must have missed the part of evolutionary theory that says that war and conflict should decrease as evolution continues. Perhaps you could show me?
Maybe show us the part where thermonuclear war is beneficial for the survival of the species?!

There seems to be more at work here than survival of the...well anything!

I think thats sheer assumption on your part.

Its been shown we're actually getting better in that dept, on average.

Because of limited resources, one of the realities of life is competition. One strategy for those resources, which most species use, is killing the competition. War is basically organized killing. Of course war isn't only about resources, but I'm not sure other species go to war over things like greed or ambition.

They do claim that mutations are beneficial, no?

Some are.

They do claim species evolve and get better..no?

No. They get more fit for their current environment.

There is more war today than in Adam's day. Funny, that.

There is more art today than in days of yore, but neither fact is likely due to any biological/genetic differences between the people of today and the people of yore.

War is beneficial to the winners.

Well if evolution is all about survival then maybe it shouldn't have increased war in the first place so that we dont have to try and decrease it. When you look at the theory everything is geared towards survival. The creatures with the best adapted features to their environment survive compared to others. Evolutionists tell us that if a creature for example is being harassed by some predators the ones that run faster or develop camouflage will survive. So everything seems to center around survival.

I would say even the animals thinking and instincts are focused on survival as well. But it seems when it comes to humans we are the only ones who are bucking this trend. We dont see animals go to war with each other or destroy their environment. At least not on purpose anyway. War would be a disadvantage to survival. So our animal instincts through random chance mutations will be choosing the traits that give us a edge for adapting to the environment for survival. But our actions as far as our thinking causes us to destroy things. So if this was to fit in with how evolution works then yes we should be putting our conscious actions into matching what the natural inclination of evolution is heading towards--survival. But for some irrational reason we dont. I wonder why that is and did evolution predict this.
