CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Its the same thing as people hating the Jews , or any other race.You dont necessarily have to do sometinhg in order for people to hate you.I do know why some people hated Jesus.They did not believe that He was the Son of God, thus they wanted Him dead.You said if God was so good, then why did only a few people believe in Him.There are way more than a few people who believe and have believed in God. Some just choose not to believe for what reason , I dont know.But it is not because God is not good. Oh yeah, I dont know why some people hate Christians.

Why do people hate him today? Man I tell you the truth God, Jesus,And the Spirit are good alive and willing to pour thtre grace on anyone. God gave you free will, to either love or hate him, from there its your decision. Why do so few come to God, because God himself made it that way,.....Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and olny few find it. Well the answer to all is simple. Why do people hate the light? It exposes the darkness. God resists the proud, gives grace to the humble. Always has, always will. So when proud people are confronted with God, they hate it. Why do only a few listen then? Because sin blinds them, and pride keeps them from putting their faith in anyone other than themself. And why do people hate Christians? Same reason they hated Jesus. Jesus shut the mouth of the proud, and spoke with conviction. People don't like that.ruixiangz said:

I think another reason some people dislike Christians is because of bad past experience with someone who was a Christian and was hypocritical. Maybe treated others badly or many other things. It does say in the bible that many people will preach in His name, and the Lord will say "get away from me evildoers" so to me sometimes I feel like there are "Mother Theresa" types out there that truly represent the love of God. However, the "haters of Christianity" may have been turned off by some Christians in the past. I know this from experience.

Jesus said that "the world hates me because I testify that what it does is evil." People reject Christ because He tells us that we sin. Human beings do NOT like to be told they do anything wrong. Unfortunately, in order to grow, one has to know what needs to be improved upon. People would rather hate Jesus and the ones who follow Him, than look at what He says about them. The only way to change the world is for each one of us to look in the mirror.

There is evil in the world. Things are not perfectly just. Millions of good people have angered others throughout history. The Jewish religious leaders of Jesus' time were extremely offended by Him. He really ruffled their feathers for exposing their hypocrisy. He was the antithesis of everything they stood for (and they didn't stand for good things)
