Thank you for not attacking me in your answer, which is very good. I think much of that could be in the right direction, however make no mistake that hell is a real place. The biggest trick the devil ever pulled off was tricking people into thinking he is not real. Thank you for answering.

YHWH allows our love for him to be tested.
I do not think any of us are worthy to say or type the NAME of the LORD, He has not given us permission to do that.

I believe it goes along with sensuality which is s sin. It lies in regards to God made us beautiful as we are and to enhance our beauty is seen as pride, it makes us a harlot in God's eyes. Jeremiah 4:30
And you, O desolate one, what do you mean that you dress in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, that you enlarge your eyes with paint? In vain you beautify yourself. Your lovers despise you; they seek your life.
John 2:15-16
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.

A question is a question. I have faith in the Lord, and I am asking YOU NOT HIM. It could say "SINCE", that does not change the question. And I am not criticizing anyone!! You will be judged just as I will! So I am asking mortal to mortal....I would never ask our Lord about His ways.

I did not mean to hurt you. A few seconds looking at a phone screen while driving in traffic might result in a head on collision with permanent injury, ICU bills, bankruptcy or death. Hell is no joke.

Do you really think the Devil needs to trick us into doing anything? Eve was tricked but Adam Was not. At that point sinners raised sinners in a world of sin. When the Lord destroyed the world and those of it with the flood he proclaimed
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Satan exists and is to blame but for the most part we are our own devil.

All sins are not the same for Christians.

Paul lists the sins that will keep believers out of heaven in several places in the NT.

Here’s your list: makeup, false nails or jewelry, video games, cartoons, secular music, movies, profanity. birth control, smoking, using hair dye, wearing tight clothing

Except for profanity, nothing in your list is included in the list Paul gives us of what will send a believer to hell.

Here’s one of Paul’s warnings to the brethren about committing sins keeping them out of heaven:

1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Smoking isn’t on that list - legalism says that smoking defiles the body, then quotes where God says if you defile your body, you are damned, then concludes you are damned for smoking.

This completely ignores that Jesus says NOTHING that enters the body through the mouth, can defile a man, because what defiles a man is what comes OUT of his mouth, from the heart.

Mat 15:10 And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand:

Mat 15:11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”

Mat 15:18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.

Mat 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.

Mat 15:20 These are what defile a person.

So I suggest you rethink the legalism your church has taught you - I suspect it’s UPC - and not add to the scriptures a list of rules that are invalid.

There’s nothing in scripture that even hints that Satan is a metaphor.

And soul sleep, and annihilationism are not biblical.

The soul doesn’t take a dirt nap, and our spirit is eternal, and can’t be destroyed, thus will spend eternity in heaven, or the lake of fire.

I believe it goes along with sensuality which is s sin.

Not saying some can't overdo it and really have wrong motives but couldn't you say what you've said about anything? Maybe having a man shave, washing his face having a daily shower combing his hair and the list can go on and on for both male and female.

It lies in regards to God made us beautiful as we are and to enhance our beauty is seen as pride, it makes us a harlot in God's eyes. Jeremiah 4:30

I'm not totally opposed to what you're trying to say but you need to appreciate there's a balance one needs to have. If you're going to stay exactly with what you're claiming that would mean a type of legalism which says even if you've had any injury to ones face they should NEVER do anything to make them feel psychologically better by any improvement of their appearance. I've known people who have been absolutely devastated by having acne on their face almost suicidal...so are we going to claim they've done absolutely evil by applying a little cream?

Scriptures like you mentioned have to do with someone genuinely trying to look like a prostitute. Absolutely everything to them becomes about seduction. I don't think it's fair one could say that about any lady putting on a tad bit of make up to make themselves feel better and yes look better for their husband.

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 2 Pt 3:3

It states don't let it merely be this. Same with wearing of apparel....don't spend all your waking hours having ones focus on such things. Make sure you spend the lions share of your time and tending to developing one's spiritual condition . Example....are you going to take 2 hours a day to put on one's makeup? Did they spend two hours in prayer each day? In other words MORE TIME needs to be on the spiritual life not wasting it totally on frivolous things.

I have repented. Its an old picture. And why do you people want to attack the one asking a question rather than answer the question?

It's a good thing to hear that you've repented. What the list that you wrote in your op is not described in that verse what you posted on the works of the flesh. Nowhere in the bible does it say you're going to hell for dying your hair.

Gods ways are not our ways, his thoughts are not our thoughts. Piety, or lack thereof will not save your soul, Christ paid our debt. Faith plus nothing is how we are saved. People can have nice things, however, when your possessions be come your idol, then it's wrong.

The short simplified answer.

To offer choice.

If there is only one option to choose, one path to follow, free will is meaningless.

bless you.. so who on this earth do you believe can answer this other then God Him self? Well one could pray seek the lord and the Sweet sweet Holy Spirit that knows the deep things of God "But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God."

Does make you wonder for sure. God knows all yet asks Adam "where are you?" "who told you?" "did you eat of the tree?" God asks Cain "wheres your brother?" And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground."

Sin was found in Satan. Its clear angels and man are not puppets. God does not in any way control us. He can know all.. know your prayer before you finish it and also answered it. He can know all .. every hair on your head. He can know all and yet not what your going to say next. Who is going to know and understand this in a fallen world.

Lucifer who would eventually trick billions of people to go to hell? Lucifer tricks humans ...

With questions like this I'm always curious about the parable of the wheat and tares. You don't see the wheat becoming tares. And why not if it's true God plants humans and they get tricked by Lucifer?

(If God is all Knowing, why did He create ...Lucifer who would eventually trick billions of people to go to hell? ... So why would God create and allow this creature to wreck havoc on mankind if He loves us?
First of all, since (notice I didn't say "if"?) you are a Christian, then for your own sake, please don't ask "IF" God is all Knowing. As a Christian, you already know He is. More about this at the end of this post...

Secondly, you really have no idea how many people are in hell. I would hesitate to put a figure on it such as "billions".

To answer your questions, it all goes back to free-will. I think James says it best:

"When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.”
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone.
But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured
away and enticed.
" James 1:13-14

Lucifer/satan is in this world. He preys on our weaknesses, which can be anything from eating too many cream puffs to committing mass murder. But even though sin is lurking around every corner, WE can be its 'master'. And many of us are.

Did you not pass judgment on others in your OP by telling people that they WILL go to hell, unless they stop wearing jewelry, false nails, makeup, stop watching movies, listening to secular music, etc.? Yes, you did.

You have no right to judge whether someone will go to heaven or hell, even if they have murdered, let alone, whether they're wearing any jewelry or dying their hair.

And none of this has anything to do with dying our hair, listening to secular music, etc. YOU may categorize these things under the heading of "sensuality".

I have repented. Its an old picture. And why do you people want to attack the one asking a question rather than answer the question?
That's fine. Have you also repented for judging others here on this forum?

It's the way you posed the question.

I do not think any of us are worthy to say or type the NAME of the LORD, He has not given us permission to do that.
Umm...
"But Moses asked God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? I will surely be with you,” God said, “and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship God on this mountain. Then Moses asked God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?’ What should I tell them?” 14God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”15God also told Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation". Exodous 3:11-15

Sounds to me like God gave Moses permission to tell others His name ("Yahweh" meaning, "I AM"). Might that also include US?

There's pride and then there's pride.

You're taking Jeremiah 4:30 out of context.

And 1 John 2:15-16 does NOT mean that we can't have ANY possessions. Consider the woman who used her hair to anoint Christ's feet with expensive oil. She was criticized by the claim that the oil could have been sold and the money given to the poor. But Christ saw a different purpose. Yes, we can have 'things'. Just don't get so attached to them or flaunt them.

Actually, the difference between "since" and "if" changes the context of the question.

People ask questions when they are trying to understand things. You can’t expect someone to believe something that they can’t make sense of, since belief isn’t something we can force upon ourselves. Attempting to suppress questions and attacking someone simply for answering them makes you look insecure in your own beliefs.

It's not that Satan is tricking people into thinking those things are not a big deal. It's that he has tricked people into spending time on worrying about others doing those things. Instead of spreading the Word and love our Lord, you're spending time focusing on things that don't matter. God doesn't care if you wear makeup or play a video game. He does care whether or not you've loved and helped people. Stop worrying about the cosmetic stuff. People need help and God can use you to provide it.

Except for profanity, nothing in your list is included in the list Paul gives us of what will send a believer to hell.

Paul doesn’t address the use of Anglo-Saxon rather than Latin words for sex and bodily functions either...

What if the world had developed a culture that it was okay and legal for everyone to go nude in this current era? You would be saying that nudity is not the problem and that we need to "jump from this set of tracks onto another".

But quite another when those who are the ardent proponents of abolishing the spaghettis-strap culture I think have missed it
I believe people should follow what the Bible teaches according to their own free will and not by an imposed law but nevertheless if anyone wanted to "abolish the spaghetti-strap culture," their intentions are perfectly in accordance with the Bible.

1 Timothy 2:9-10 “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.”

For a woman's eyes alone is capable to conjure the burn.
That's ridiculous. Contact lense ads can turn men on?

you might be "insecure" but I am not. Look what happened to Adam and Eve, when they questioned God's direct command, not to eat from the tree. Christianity is a Faith, which means we have to fully Trust God, to be 100% right, and do 100% right, 100% of the time! All else if from the devil.
