It is available only to those who are seekers of the truth. The Bible is a closed book to anyone who is not actually seeking after eternal life. God does not make it's wisdom and knowledge available to those who are perishing, simply so they can amuse themselves.

Sounds like a double whammy to me...

Special Pleading Fallacy: "The Bible is absolutely reliable, but since you're not anointed with the Holy Spirit, you wouldn't understand, so I don't have to explain it to you."

But wait, there's more, that second part throws us a dose of....

Circular Reasoning Fallacy: "Since you don't read the Bible, you will perish, and since you're perishing, you can't understand the Bible."

The 11th Commandment: "thou shalt not make sense."

Everything in the Bible that you can check out and verify proves to be true. There is nothing in the Bible that has ever been proven NOT to be true.

That's only because you do not accept the evidence which disprove it. And we can't make you accept it. Therefore for you, everything in the Bible has not been proven to be untrue. I do accept that the Bible is mostly a collection of historical records, and highly accurate.

I think it was Hovind who said they did because they eat their droppings.

(Of course, that calls into attention the definition of "cud", but that's a ridiculous debate I don't ever want to witness.)

I see another big problem with the "God was not created" thesis.

To solve the logical problem with God and the cause/effect situations in our space/time reference frame, you just put him outside of this frame.

Fine, this solves this problem - but created heaps of new ones.

By putting God outside of everything existing, you have also put him beyond understanding.
We can SAY that he is outside of time and space, but we cannot UNDERSTAND that.

As I mentioned earlier, the evidence suggests that the expansion rate of the universe is accelerating.

If you accelerate the velocity, you will accelerate the expansion rate, but it will still double in half the time, that remains consistant.

What evidence do you have that disproves the Bible. I have never seen any evidence like that.

What do you not accept about the Bible?

Leviticus 11
5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

Old Testament Hebrew for ' And the coney '

08227 shaphan {shaw-fawn'}
from 08226; TWOT - 2446a;
AV - Shaphan 30, coney 4; 34
n m
1) rock badger, coney, the hyrax
n pr m
2) secretary or scribe of king Josiah of Judah
3) father of Ahikam in the time of king Josiah of Judah
(strong's number 8227)

http://www.hyrax.co.uk/hyraxthe.htm

So what is a hyrax?

Briefly, it is in the order of Hyracoidea. There are 3 types of hyraxes - rock (Procavia), tree (Dendrohyrax) and intermediate group (Heterohyrax). They are also known as dassies, damans and rock badgers. They are mentioned in the Bible (Leviticus 11:5) under the name of coney, at least in traditional English translations. Though the hyrax appears to chew the cud, it has the wrong sort of feet and so is not kosher.

However that's not what you said when you posted. "If you look at the expansion of the universe, the expansion remains consistant, yet the universe doubles in half the time. Time is consistant, velocity is consistant, but the effect is not consistant. "

Just point out that the expansion rate/velocity is increasing.

That's only because you do not accept the evidence which disprove it.

Have you actually taken the time to study the evidence that Proves that it did happen?

The bible is also known as the 'Word of God', or as being 'God breathed' in other words while man actually physically wrote the words God told them what to write. So if the Bible is written by God himself then why would it be telling a lie??

So..... present some evidence. We're listening.

The bible is also known as the 'Word of God', or as being 'God breathed' in other words while man actually physically wrote the words God told them what to write. So if the Bible is written by God himself then why would it be telling a lie??

Now that's a big ol' IF you got there...

The Bible IS KNOWN AS the "Word of God"; that doesn't mean it is. What you're saying is that if these men heard a voice that told them what to write,  it must have been God.

Good thing the Bible is an ancient text. Nowadays, people who hear voices get locked up in padded cells.
