All you need is God because he tells us everything we need. Considering that most side affects of most medicines that scientists manufacture includes, death, then scientists can't cure a terminal illness. But Jesus can. He can heal anyone of anything.

Assuming you're not Amish (because you're posting on the internet), this is quite an ironic statement.

God set up natural laws and God put things in place for us to discover for healing and technological improvements. Not everything God does for us is supernatural.

Again as I said, when scientists agree with God, they're always right. But when they disagree with God, they're always wrong. That means that when they correctly understand His design, they'll be able to use it to help mankind. And most often, scientists are wrong since they can't cure a terminal illness.
