I use a very efficient MSN LAN at work (which is where I spend the msot itme online) but at home I use AOL and I've been using it pretty much since it's conception. I've had my rpoblems with it in the past, but over the last couple of years, it just keeps gettign better. I had Net Zero for a while, then I had earthlink, but I keep on coming back. It may be the most basic, but except for MSN it's my favorite. I just can't afford MSN.

Those free cd-s make good coasters though

We just had a family dinner, and we used AOL CD's for the coasters; I have most of a set of the version 4.0 (250 hours free) ones that looked like a roadsign.

I love my broadband connection.  AOL is just a long forgotten nightmare for me now, but oh how I get sick of AOLers e-mailing me back complaining about how they can't access the link I sent or they can't see the photo I emailed them or my website photos look fuzzy, etc and etc.

Great post, Susan!

I had AOL once for a few months to try it it. NEVER, EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The insane amount of money they charge monthly is the least of their problems. I still haven't figured out how they get away with it.

I now have NetZero at $10 monthly, minus all the problems of AOL.

If AOL were a city, they would send you a letter stating that you would get 5 years of free services for the next 30 days if you move to AOLville. Then they'll raise your taxes and claim they aren't making money. And try to sell you a baseball team. And cut off your cable.
Then, if you leave for a little while, when you come back you can only get back in after 3 attempts.

I chose:I was smart enough never to sign up

To begin with,I already heard opposition about AOL before I got interenet service from friends of mine.

Theres lots of internet suppliers out there, the local ones are the best ;)

God Bless,
