Well, one odd fall or step and you can jack up your knee or something else. Then you can kiss sports goodbye.
Plus, you are going to grow older and older and someday you won't be able to play. So either way you know that sports is a dead end road. All the people you look up to are going to get hurt, or grow old and die.
You can't place your identity in something so uncertain.
If you can play sports, never ever forget who gave you the ability to do so.
Idols in our lives will always let us down.

yah...I know exactly how you feel, of course, I don't play sports but I do have a lot of other things that seem to race ahead of God in my, "things that are important" list. But, anyways, all I can really tell you is that you gotta put God first, He'll take care if the rest, trust me, NO....Trust God! He wouldn't have given you the talent to play if He wasn't going to let you use it... He just wants you to be obedient to him and put him first on your list...He put all of us before His one and only Son, and gave him up for us, now that's a bigger sacrifice than sports... just do the right thing, you know what it is!
May God bless your life to it's fullest
