Not sure who would disagree. Only exception would be when love blinds you to the truth. Then I guess it's not all loving as it's partially the convenience of putting certain people above others; holding them above the truth while holding others to it. I agree with you if it's genuinely heartfelt for the people near to you, not done selfishly and dishonestly someway for yourself.

There-in lies the crux. What is first on the love meter? Sin, people or God?

All are taught yet most never step back and ask self... Who taught me that? Why, becomes apparent, as most of taught things come from a person we love more than God on the love meter. In the bible it says lay down childish things.

When this verse is applied to self in totality it means take a self inventory of all that was taught by the closest people we love ---- Too.

As above post says, out of love a deception may be ignored. This is called sincere ignorance passed from generation to generation for mom and dad where taught too by people they love and pass it to the child.

When do you think adoring is worship? When the person is a total stranger?

Been months since I've thought about it. Think I was coming from the perspective of what love is to God and not as we know it. So with that in mind, ideally we would love all people and not only those close to us in our lives.

Regardless, I think adoration is worship when it put's someone or something on a pedestal. An example would be what I said before, when it blinds you to the truth. Let's say if a loved one did something wrong and a stranger did something wrong, you unjustly judge one versus the other. When it relates to God, it's putting any person or thing before him.

I met a person who said John Lennon and Yoko let him cross the street and he was like astonished.
