  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When it comes to listening to singers who we enjoy listening to, where do we draw the line? I think I've been indulging myself way too much with music other than gospel music, which I enjoy but don't listen to very often.
We pretty much should draw the line when it interferes with our relationship with God. Do you think your spending too much time listening to secular music and not enough listening to gospel music, praying, and reading the Word?

An idol is anything that takes God's place in your life. Nothing should be as important as God. So if you know you should be spending time in God's Word or talking to Him but instead choose to listen to music (whether or not it's Christian), it's probably become an idol. I struggle with this. I wanna recommend a book I just started reading called "You are the Treasure That I Seek" by Greg Dutcher. It's great so far. :)
