The YEC agree with Behes ID concept, but stop there.

They understand that an intelligent being had to have created as life basic building blocks could not have risen from a dead puddle of gue.
Sounds like the same sentiment Darwin had in Origins. I would guess that many theistic evolutionists hold this same view.

God created what? The big bang then walked away?
Um . . . Everything!

It is HOW God created that science is investigating.

YEC - God created everything, pretty much as it is a few thousand years ago (falsified)

ID - God created everthing, God 'tinkers' with DNA but common ancestry is valid (tenative, not accepted by science because it has not been presented as a falsifyable or testable theory)

Theistic Evolution - God created everthing. This creative power is expressed through evolution due to mutation and natural selection and other natural phenomena (tenative, accepted as valid by science, testable, supported by evidence, unfalified).

Gen 1:31
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
(KJV)

Exod 31:15-17
15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
(KJV)

Do you suppose God made them work for 6,000 years before they could rest? Don't hardly think so they were none of them ever that old.

I doubt any theo-evos hold that view.
Darwin did:
"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved." C. Darwin, On the Origin of Species, pg 450.

However, now most theistic evolutionists realize that God created life by chemistry:
http://www.theharbinger.org/articles/rel_sci/fox.html

This also fits in with what Darwin thought:

"The only distinct meaning of the word 'natural' is stated, fixed, or settled; since what is natural as much requires and presupposes an intelligent agent to render it so, i.e., to effect it continually or at stated times, as what is supernatural or miraculous does to effect it for once." Butler: Analogy of Revealed Religion. Origin of the Species, Fontispiece

Unfortunately, all creationists, including IDers, share the beliefs of atheists here in that natural = without God. In a very real sense, creationists are undercover atheists.

Ah, another insertion by the editor. The timeline is:
1. Exodus happened first. The 10 Commandments were given first. So the original is 15-16. The Sabbath is there because God commands it.
2. Genesis 1 is written many hundreds of years later. The authors are looking for a justification for the Sabbath. They make creation take 6 days so that there can be "rest" on the 7th. For them, it wasn't good enough that God commanded the sabbath.
3. The Pentateuch is an edited document put together from 3 or 4 original sources. To complete the circle and make the documents somewhat consistent, the editor (probably in the time of Ezra) inserts the 6 day creation into 2 places about the Sabbath as unnecessary justification for the Sabbath.

Do you suppose God made them work for 6,000 years before they could rest? Don't hardly think so they were none of them ever that old.
