  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My parents anniversay is next month. Its their 30th. I wanted to get them tickets to Armenia, but unforunately duo to budget cuts and all the fun stuff at work, I can't really afford that.

So I need help to decide some trips that I would spend less then 2,000. At least something less just so I can give them money to spend as well.

So far I thought about San Diego. They have never been and we can drive them there to spend a few days. I thought about cruise but my dad wont be able to cause he isn't well enough to be in sea like that. And no parties. We will have dinner and stuff but no parties. I will have to invite people I can't stand....:sorry:

So now I'm left with...I have no idea and need to pick your brains. Anything might spark something. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

For my parents 25th wedding anniversary my sisters and I clubbed together and paid for them to go away to a little bed and breakfast in the mountains about 40 minutes from where they live and the one night we booked a special anniversary dinner at nice restaurant. They loved it and it didn't cost us a fortune.

Hope you find something great.

I will be thinking about this and will be back to post when I think of something!

You're a sweet daughter!
Thank you Tink.

It's really nice of you to do this. My parents anniversary is in April as well.

I think a nice bed and breakfast for the weekend would be really nice. You said San Diego area, so here's a few places to look at, and not really to expensive either.

Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast a San Diego, California Bed & Breakfast Inn

A Beach Bed and Breakfast « A Beach Bed and Breakfast in Ocean Beach, San Diego – California

bed and breakfast san diego - Yahoo! Search Results

You could take them there, drop them off for the weekend, then pick them up.

A bed and breakfast, how did I not think of that? Thank you, I will look into it. We will drive them and drop them off, but maybe OH, I will also look at napa valley stuff. That means flying there but I think that would still b enice. Let me see. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Btw, what day is their anniversary?

I like the B&B idea...that or a gift certificate for classes they can take together (art, ballroom, cooking)

Fantastic idea. I think they might love this. My mom always wanted to take cooking classes, she LOVES cooking.

I think I'm going to find a poetry book my dad loves. Its going to be hard to search for it, but there is a Russian book store that is near my house, so I am going to go see if they might have anything that is Armenian there.

I've decided what I am going to get.
I already went and talk to the person, made all the calculations and I can afford it for a year and my parents will be the rest of the time. A new car! =) My mom was so overwhelmed when I told her. I wish I could afford the whole time but as a family we work together with these things so in the end its ours.

She has been driving that piece of junk for years and years, my mom deserves something good in her life to go to work and do her fun stuff safely. My dad would be excited about it too! I have a feeling the first thing they will do is go to church together. They are so cute. :D
