This is proposing a new way to post debates so as to be less controversial.
Serious questions:
Don't we often learn best when there is some amount of controversy or conflict? I find it interesting that so many want to avoid it as if it's bad, yet we see examples of the apostles having in-your-face-conflict with each other and yet they were able to deal with their differences, even if it meant one of them going away.
Don't you have a series of books called the "
Conflict of the Ages", and isn't one of those books called "The Great
Controversy"?
Why would you (not YOU specifically, maybe we is a better word) not expect some to exist when Christians come together to disucss the Truth (Jesus Christ) as HE relates to different denominations, as HE, the Living Word, is revealed in the written Word?
Every SDA church I was in over the years was full of conflict and controversy just with it's own members, not counting how they viewed people in other churches. I saw many, many church splits happen, and that was between people who were supposed to be 'like-minded' united by the Spirit in the love of Christ. To what end do we avoid conflict and controversy over SDA beliefs, teachings, and doctrines? It's like the big elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about...
Anyway. I hope it's OK that I ask questions without actually discussing the things I'm asking about.
God bless us all as his Spirit leads us into all truth.
