He does not have to convert debi. Trust me. As a baptized Christian, if he is willing to live with you, then that's all that the Church requires.

Anyway, it's no big thing. People who want to be mean to you will look for excuses. "She's in a church I'm not in" is a great starter on hating someone you don't know well enough to hate for any of her own personal attributes.

Personally, I think you're a sweetie. Don't worry about it. If you do ever feel compelled to change, you could always write in plain old black instead of that vivid blue which hurts my tired old eyes.

sorry seebs i will take heed of that in the future and change my things so it is black but I need the larger print because I am blind and all that small stuff gives me a headache trying to read it Fair enough....LOL I never had anything but respect for you seebs. It doesnt feel nice, but Jesus told us the road wouldnt be easy. Rejoice, you are doing the right thing, and people are hating you for it, so your reward will be in Heaven.

It has a nice feature where you can scale up or down the entire web page by whatever percentage you choose, from 20% to 1000%. That would make everybodies text more readable and not just your own.

If you use a Macintosh or Linux then I can't help much I'm afraid.

I guess you now have a literal example of taking up your cross and follwing Christ. It is not easy. It will always be there. But it will never be as difficult as the Cross that Christ carried all the way to Calvary.

A lot of Christian denominations believe that Catholics are not Christians, and are no better, worse or different than the Mormons in that regard. And they, unlike Catholics, believe that salvation is limited only to Christians - and by their narrow, sectarian definitions of Christian. They look at Catholicism as a heresy, and a heresy to the faith is always a greater concern than an outright opponent.

At a pentecostal church I once went to, they had very strict rules for dress and conduct ("holiness standards"), required speaking in tongues for salvation, etc. Yes, they were anti-Catholic, but then they were anti- everybody and everything. The only ones who go to heaven, in their view, is a small percentage of their members who faithfully follow their doctrine to their last day.

debi, i totally understand, believe me more than you know. one thing i can say is give these people time. if they are truely your friends then they will eventually come around in understanding we're not as different as what they used to think. be lieve me, i have proof of this it's hard at first adn a shock to people but if they are honestly your friends then they willt ake your feeling sinto consideration. if not? wipe the dust off your sandals and move on.

There are a lot of individuals and even groups that that teach Catholics, or at least most Catholics, are not Christian. If you convert you are considered an antiChrist by some people.

Stay here for now, if there are any insults they will be handled and you are among friends.

Be bold. Ask them what they mean by that. "Are you saying that the Catholic Church is not Christian?
And based on the answer to your question, it may be appropiate for you to report them.

Ok like I just got hit with one that he defended everybody else that was doing the same as I was actually they came to defend the position I had but when it came to me his veiled last line was "except maybe in the case of Roman Catholics". I was just about to praise the post right up until I saw that line. It is little things like that or the constant PMs I am getting one said that I wasn't a Christian anymore and didn't deserve to be here. Oh and yes I just changed and converted in fact I did it here. So this is very new to me.

Report them Debi and the PM's too. The only advice I can give is Jesus said he did not come to bring peace but a sword. The truth always brings a sword when it is casting out untruths.

From those on the forum or in you’re personal life? I can understand family members being upset but on the internet? Someone is mad because you convert, that seems like odd behavior to me because it isn't like it will effect their life any like it would your family members.
