I don't find his statement to be a threat to the safety and well-being of anyone or anything, except maybe Columbia's bottom line.What/who was he threatening then?
Didn't the Palestinians vote for the Hamas terrorist group to run their country? We all know the position of Hamas towards Israel just by the number of attacks in history.but supporting Palestinians does not mean that one supports Hamas
They won an election in 2006, no more were held since then.Didn't the Palestinians vote for the Hamas terrorist group to run their country?
Hamas forced its rule on the people of Gaza outside of the political process.Didn't the Palestinians vote for the Hamas terrorist group to run their country?
Is this Israel's fault? It seems Israel is doing them a favor by trying to eradicate Hamas. Maybe the Palestinians are tired of their place being retaliated against because of Hamas. They won an election in 2006, no more were held since then.
How is any of this relevant to the topic? Is this Israel's fault? It seems Israel is doing them a favor by trying to eradicate Hamas. Maybe the Palestinians are tired of their place being retaliated against because of Hamas.
Based on his status and activities which he threatened to escalate without limit, yes.I don't find his statement to be a threat to the safety and well-being of anyone or anything, except maybe Columbia's bottom line.
“As long as Columbia continues to invest and to benefit from Israeli apartheid, the students will continue to resist... not only protests and encampments, the limit is the sky.”
Do you really feel that the above statement is enough for a person to be detained and incarcerated in the United States?
Here's an update:Where do you get that he is either of those things? Pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel for sure, but supporting Palestinians does not mean that one supports Hamas, nor does opposing Israel's actions in Palestine make one an antisemite.

I brought it up by answering the question you asked?Because you brought it up.
That's such a vague allegation as to be completely useless. What "activities aligned to Hamas" did he lead? Here's an update:
McLaughlin signaled the arrest was directly connected to Khalil’s role in the protests, alleging he “led activities aligned to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.”
Ok lol.I brought it up by answering the question you asked?

I asked how being pro-Palestinian makes someone pro-Hamas. You asked, in reply, whether Palestinians voted for Hamas - the implication being that, because Palestinians voted for Hamas, supporting Palestinians means someone is supporting Hamas.Ok lol.
Depends on the threats. If I say "I think all Russians should die in a fire" that is indeed protected free speech. Why? Do you have evidence this individual was making threats? It sure is not mentioned in the news article. Is making threats against the safety and well-being of others, protected by the first amendment?
Will it be tried in a court? That is the allegation coming from Department of Homeland Security, Tricia McLaughlin
I asked how being pro-Palestinian makes someone pro-Hamas.
Because they've accepted their terrorist government for 19 years. You answered your question in the second paragraph. When the people rise against their terrorist government, it is the day of peace. To be pro-Palestinian means anti-Israel.However, because Gaza last had an election in 2006 (19 years ago), that doesn't really follow. Heck, about 2/3 of Gaza's current voting-age population wasn't even eligible to vote at the time (Source).
Jeffrey Dahmer was called an alleged serial killer at first. Alleged often means we know he's guilty but we can't say so yet. That is the allegation coming from Department of Homeland Security, Tricia McLaughlin
