seems like the consensus is in. the fact that this paper was given so much attention should let us know the debate was real, and the findings supported by evidence.

god gave us dominion over the planet, and part of that charge is to care for her. how will christians respond to this...?

Well we certainly shouldn't go around screaming "The sky is falling!"

However, as stewards of this planet the human race hasn't done a very good job of it.

Ways to undo what's been done...

Get involved in the political process to help form more realistic conservation legislation.

Harsher punitive fines/sentences for corporation representatives who purposefully break environmental laws. Quit making it cheaper for them to polute!

Drive fuel efficient cars/ride your bike/take the bus/or just WALK!

the list goes on and on of what we should do as Believers...but what we will do???

why this one man, versus the thousands that have constributed to this report?

can his criticisms in ths essay be leveled against this particualr report? IOW, are they guilty of doing what he has suggested?

By the end of the century the temperature could be on average up by 1 to 6 degrees celsius.
I think that alternative energy is the solution to the problem, as is small everyday things like not putting your tv on standby.

A number of the climate studies address this issue: they claim that one sign of global warming is an increase in the number of unusual weather events- hurricanes, etc.

Overall, the trend of temperature is upwards, which can be measured. The number of "spikes" of unusual weather also seems to be increasing- but this is more difficult to quantify.
