Thread: War of the Empires
Race: Harama
Age: 27
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 190lbs
About the Harama Race: Haramas, also called Horties (reasons unknown), recently sprung up (as in, several thousand years ago) on their homeplanet MI34 (so small it didn't even have a proper name). MI34 was already inhabited by technologically advanced beings, but the Haramas quickly overthrew and extinguished this race due to several advantages. First, their appearance. Harama's normally look just like humans, but they are semi-shapeshifters. They can change form, but they must retain the same mass and must remain bipedal, keep two eyes, and have the same brain size(they cannot shift their brain.).
Second, Haramas quickly caught on to technology since they were a bright race, most having intellect beyond the greatest of humans. They were able to catch up and then surpass their planet brothers in a matter of several hundred years. Ultimately, the development of their DNA-specific-race targetting virus wiped out the remainder of the other race.
Thirdly, Haramas are a sly race. They are masters of the lie and have decieved their way to many heights. The tone of their voices is extremely convincing and few save themselves can tell when they're lying and when they are not. Even advanced lie-detectors have been unable to stop them.
Due to their rough start, Haramas are a warring race that had dreams of utter decimation for all other races in the galaxy. Their plot was finally discovered by the Dominion and actions were taken to extinguish the threat. Luckily for most races, the Haramas were slow in reproduction and had only several million. In an effort to stop the Haramas, the Dominion destroyed MI34 along with the countless millions that were on it. The Harama threat was believed to be ended.
Many Haramas survived, however. By concealing themselves and blending in, these Haramas went into hiding all over the galaxy. Though their greatest dreams were for the moment postponed, smaller actions and missions continued in hopes that some day they could reach galactic domination. Many Haramas now hold powerful positions in both government and military. Working on both the Dominion and Human sides, Haramas feel that their chance is coming soon.
One final note, it appears that unlike most species, the Haramas's distinguishing genes are all dominant, and always destroy the other recessive genes of the same type. In this way, any baby born to a Harama parent, whether both or just one parent, will be a Harama also. This means there is no such thing as a full-blood or half-blood Harama, they are all equally full-blood.
Back to Iamo.
Appearance when not shape-shifted: Jet-black, straight hair that falls on his shoulders. Dark brown, piercing eyes. Lighter colored skin. Muscular, but not overly buff. Well kept fingernails on large hands. Distinguishing clothes: long, flowing, black robe.
Bio: Born in a largely Harama community, Iamo grew up with all the ideals and grand training of the Harama. Iamo excelled in school, even above his Harama peers. Iamo's parents threw him into the Harama Underground Action School at age thirteen. From there, Iamo grew to greatness. Going undercover in the Human Empire, Iamo flew past his contemporaries in government and soon found himself in a powerful, well respected position. Iamo was appointed Head of Counter-Intelligence; he now has access to nearly ever bit of confidential data ever made by the Human Empire, and most of the Dominion's as well. This new civil war is presenting oppurtunities Iamo never dreamed of.
Personality: A perfect example to use as a Harama, Iamo is brilliant, sly, and a good shape shifter. Able to lie his way through most anything, Iamo also practices great control over his anger and emotions and is able to stay calm even in the most dire of circumstances. His greatest desire is to see the galactic domination by Harama, but he hides this well from his co-workers. Iamo has never had much time for fun, so he does not know what he likes to do for fun. Social activities are the only things that make Iamo lose his absolute control, and therefore Iamo has never been able to get a date, much less marry someone. With no sense of humor (As in, doesn't even laugh, doesn't like to laugh) and having never known what it meant to be loved, it's quite obvious that Iamo would have a tough time finding someone.
Abilities: Asides from the Harama givens, Iamo is also a master shot with his Pulse-laser hand gun, which is always on his belt. Finally, Iamo is secretively a weapons designer and is currently working out the final quirks in his Solar Flare gun, which, when used by a large ship (very large ship), would imitate a Solar Flare and its destructive abilities.
