Great question!

My degree was in accounting, and I went through many different stages on whether I liked it or not. When I chose it as a major, I liked it, but I had different priorities in life, and I think I mainly liked it because I thought I could make good money by it. Eventually, I reached a stage where I didn't think there way any way that I could find accounting fulfilling, and I became very discouraged by it. Towards the end of my schooling though, I came back around, and began to see some of the positives to it... that it was something I was good at, that accounting was not always the most honorable profession ethically and that I could be a good example in it, etc. So right now I am currently trying to find a job dealing with accounting, as I feel like that is what God is telling me.

My question to you would be:

Do you still know it all having aged from a teenager?

(I love Bill Cosby!)

This reminds me of a quote by Mark Twain:

“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”

It is amazing how much I have learned and grown in the past few years... I like back to the start of my college days and I was very different in a lot of ways, it is very cool to look back on it and see :)

Good stuff, thanks bro! God Bless!

Yes. I am sure that's where Bill Cosby got it. But no matter how it is presented, it is still funny.

Isn't it amazing how much there is to learn? I love learning.

You're welcome! Great avatar by the way!

Thank you :) It's Mt. McKinley in Alaska... I would love to visit, the pictures I have seen of Alaska look so beautiful. This past year I have just gotten into hiking, and I love it so much, it's one of my new favorite activities! It is just so incredible to see and enjoy all of the beauty that God has placed on this earth...

I gained an even better appreciation after thinking about Romans 1:20... "Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made." And there is this line in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, "The beauty of creation reflects the infinite beauty of the Creator and ought to inspire the respect and submission of man's intellect and will."

So great! When I think about that it just makes everything even better... not only am I getting to enjoy these beautiful mountains, rivers, etc. but I am getting a taste of God himself, right in His amazing creation!

Yeah, learning is the best! Sometimes I get glimpses of how much I still have to learn (a lot!) and it is intimidating, but so exciting! I could read about my faith, about cars, about history, about anything really all day every day, and I would still learn only a fraction of everything there is to know! It is so wonderful, and a good lesson in humility :)

have you had singing lessons ever??

I have not. Actually, I am pretty sure I am the worst musician of all-time... can't sing well, and can't play any instruments. I'd love to eventually learn to play guitar and/or piano... on my life list of things to do!

Hi Twins!
What do you love most about North Dakota? I have only been to SD.

Definitely the people! I love the people in North Dakota, people are so friendly and willing to help. People will open doors for each other, say thanks, and show a lot of common courtesy. In small towns strangers will wave at you, just to say hi. I absolutely love the people here... nicest people of anywhere I have found!!

Bumping this thread because I just found this board again!!

I started a new job in early February, and it took away a lot of time from being on the computer, and sadly I just ran out of time to stop coming here :( But now I am back!

do you have plans to watch the Superbowl this Sunday?

I absolutely love football (go Vikings!), so yes, I did watch the Super Bowl! I was rooting for the Colts since the Saints beat my Vikings, but it was cool to see NO win. I got to see most of the game, except for part of the third quarter we had to help someone who got stuck in the snow (ah, the joys of living in ND!)

Do you like to eat pizza?

If it was possible to eat only pizza and still survive, I think I would probably be able to do it.... I love pizza!! Seriously, I could eat it for every meal of every day!

If you could go back in biblical times what Character besides Jesus would you be ?

Joseph! He's my favorite, I love Joseph! We have so much that we could learn from Joseph, what an incredible man. Honor, courage, dignity, love, masculinity.... so much to learn from Joseph!
