Hi guys. I don't know how many of you remember a thread a while back on whether or not God can lie. I argued that God could indeed lie but that he did not. I was very wrong. God can't lie. sorry to you all for expressing what was not truth.

If there is no darkness IN Him, how can darkness proceed FROM Him?
Is commissioning a lie the same thing as telling one?
Thoughts?

...yeh Jim I doubt God would lie, and Foadlea big part of this site is about learning, there is no real reason to apologize. I'm glad you have a better understanding of this topic though. God bless.
YBIC,

Well, I'll use an analogy...
Is commissioning a murder the same as murdering someone?
According to the law it is.
When the state executes a serial killer, is it committing murder or executing justice?
Is this really how you view that scripture "With God all things are possible"?If God “cannot” lie (which He doesn’t) then how do you interpret “ALL” when Jesus said, “With God ALL things are possible.” Does all mean all or does it mean something else?
I realize we will never come to an agreement on whether God “cannot lie” (Titus 1.2 NKJV) or “does not lie” (Titus 1.2 NIV, NLT), but I am of the opinion that God can do anything. “With God ALL things are possible.”

Faith is not faith until it's all you're holding on to.
Beautifully honest, Foadle.
Jim, someone is baring their heart on a revelation they have had from God and you have to stamp on it in the very first reply post... why?
Cheers,
