I was wondering...

Ok, can you sit still for more than 15 minutes at a time?

  • No, I can't sit still for more than a minute...not anywhere, not anytime.

  • Nah, I fidget some but it's not a problem.

  • Sure, I'm pretty calm most times.

  • People normally take my pulse to see if I'm still alive.

if I were the only weirdo in the bunch. The older I get the more restless I get. In other words...I can't sit still. It's horrible, especially in church. I look around me and either my choir mates or my pew mates are sitting still, paying attention and I just can't. I move my legs, I fiddle with my fingernails, I twirl my hair...good grief, what the heck??!!

So I was wondering if you were like me?

I used to behave well in church. I have to say though lately when I have gone I have been more interested in things around me. When people walk in late it disturbs me. I draw allover my note pad, make notes on stories I am working on. Shift around in my seat constantly. And watch the time. It's like I want to be there, but my mind and body don't.

I voted sure, even though I'm not exactly what one would describe as calm;)

Give me my knitting or a book and I'm set for hours.

Oh, almost forgot, a glass of wine helps too:thumbsup:

My parents couldn't abide fidgeting. So, I learned pretty early on not to do it. Or I would get smacked. I can sit so still, I'm pretty sure I can lower my heart beat and my temperature even. Be still and know that I am God? But, I didn't answer that people can't tell if I'm alive. (or however you worded the last option.) :D that would just be freaky man! I'm not that bad!!!

I do get twitchy though. My neck...I think something's wrong with it. Because I had to pray last night for God to heal my neck, becuase I just can't get comfortable at night. It's like my head was taken off and then put back on crooked. :D

You sound like my friend Shannon MMXII. I actually went to a Ladies Retreat with her and she had to have one leg out of her bed, because she just can't be still. Her leg was constantly moving. But the thing is? She's skinny. So, maybe fidgeting is a good way to keep your metabolism up?

I have to jiggle my leg too to get to sleep at night. And when I'm standing, e.g., cash register, for prayer, in queue...I'm moving all the time. it's no wonder my legs ache at night.

Well yeah...not even marathon runners move all the time...you're fatigued.

Should we start calling you the figinator? :D Poor kid. That must be tough.
