prior to monday the 26th of april i had some pretty bad problem with my lower back. due to improper form while weight lifting last semester i damaged a nerve in my back which left a stinging sensation shooting down my left leg. Trying to be Mr. Tough guy I figured it was nothing too serious so I decided not to see the doctors...big mistake. Rather than it getting better, the pain in my leg increased as well as it caused tightening of my calf muscles because I was overusing them. So I was starting to have more problems. Looking through some sports medicine books and talking to my uncle whos a doctor, we came to a conclusion of a herniated disk.
Well on monday march 26, I was going through a bible study with a few friends and the pain just kept building up because sitting in one position for a long time made things worse...including sleep. When it ended my friend Keith started to talk to me about it. Randomly he said "I have a feeling and I feel I should act on it" He asked me if I wanted God to heal me from this pain and immediately I said yes. I admit there was a lil doubt in my mind because I have NEVER seen this done but this doubt soon enough changed. Keith placed his hand on my hip and said "By the power of Jesus, you are now healed" I closed my eyes for a few seconds and felt an immediate warmth in my back and left leg. I opened my eyes and began to weep because the pain was gone.
I stood there in awe. I could not believe what had just happend but it did. I couldnt say anything but only stand there with a huuuge smile with tears in my eyes. Keith asked if it was better and I nodded yes. My pain was gone. My four other friends who were there were in awe as well because they had seen a drastic change in the way I walked and stood. It was back to being normal. I am still in awe of what happened but it truly was an amazing experience I will Never forget.
