I was asked by one of the members to introduce myself so here goes. I was led to Christ at the age of 14 and spent some time in Roman Catholicism after that. I eventually became very interested in Bible Study which led me away from the Roman Catholic Church. I ended up at a Baptist Church and after giving my testimony asked to be immersed. Shortly after that I was asked by our Pastor to help a mennonite fellow who was traveling 60 miles a week to fill tract racks at the local hospitals etc. I agreed and grew to know this fella quite well who was eventually elected to be the elder of his congregation.
We moved and started to attend a Grace Brethren Church. We eventually moved again and we found a Friends church. I guess you would say I am a self-styled Anabaptist in that I am convinced that what I know of Anabaptist doctrine I agree with but honestly admit ignorance and currently where I live there is no Anabaptist congregations.
I was chosen by the Holiness Church we ended up at as an Elder and had hands laid upon me, (an offshoot of the Plymouth Brethren) that Church has since closed. We attend another congregational Church that upholds believers baptism, footwashing, the Lords Supper and emphasizes teaching the Word.
There really isn't much more to share. Thanks for paying attention.
