I torrent music pretty often (although not as much as I used to...). This is how I look at it in terms of music files: the bigger or more popular the band is, the less they need (or sometimes deserve) my money. So why buy their overpriced album, when most of that money goes to the record labels anyway? Smaller bands I will gladly purchase from, and buy merchandise. Go to concerts if you really want to support a band.
