We all have dreams and ambitions of our own that may or may not be in the will of God. Now I dont mean things that are sinful but just things that we will never get to but would really like to do. So I ask, what would you really like to do before you die?

I want to go deep sea fishing and wander streets aimlessly in unfamilar cultural surroundings and just look at the people, places, smells and sounds around me and think on those things.

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. - Psalm 37:4 :)

Scuba diving for me, riding across asia on the trans siberian railroad. Finding a soulmate, if there is such a thing. Studying the Bible among the native peoples of the world, just to get a non-western perspective.

I'm already doing one of them, I left my $60,000 a year job to go into fulltime ministry. It seemed unlikely, even impossible a year ago, but here I am, God worked out all the circumstances of my big dream, so I guess anything is possible with God! :)

Hi

Going to be cheeky here ;) I am not going to die. God has said that my security is forever. :D

However, before I die this earthly body I would like to see all my family and frineds sitting at one table sharing a meal knowing they will all have eternal life with God. :amen:

I'm already living my dream...I'm a pastor. Whenever I leave this body, I'll go with satisfaction and contentment.

Prior to yielding to God's call in my life to be a pastor I did a lot of different things...lived in and traveled to many different places. I've had some incredible adventures but none gave the lasting satisfaction like teaching & preaching the Word and being a shepherd to a flock of God.

And, the icing on the cake is that God keeps the adventures coming along with being a pastor. Life is never dull!

I'd like to go scuba diving and I'd also like to travel the world before I die. One thing that I would also like to do that I may eventually get to do is to be a pastor of a church.

Well, I truthfully can't think of anything.

What I want, what I want, what I really really want is to be absent from the body and present with the Lord which is better by far.

But, I am a lot older than most, if not all of you. ;)

I've found that with age, the things of this world have become of less and less interest to me.

So, try to do the things you want while your still young guys before you loose interest in them--or should you wait until you loose interest in them so you don't have to bother doing them... :D

I want to get married eventually. I would also like to visit my great grand fathers village in Syria and meet some of my Syrian relatives...I didn't get to go there when I went to Syria because it was too far from where we were (very mountainous). I'd like to live near the peaks of the Atlas again also...that's where it all started. I'd like to help in the Western Sahara as well either at Tindouf or within the occupied territory itself. I'd like to own a hookah bar or at least live near one. I'd like to be a doctor of something (history probably). I would like to see the Joradanian and Kuwaiti monarchies fall to nonIslamic forces. I would like to visit Libya again. Bengazi is AWSOME. I want to visit Zanzibar and South Africa as well. I want to see justice flow like a neverending river as well.

Short Story.

My wife has always wanted to go sky diving. Well back in October I picked a weekend to take her. We set the weekend and looked at 2-3 different sky diving spots. Each one said wait till the Monday before the weekend we wanted to jump to call for a reservation.

I can't even remember why, but for some reason we didn't get the call in. By the middle of the week it was clear she wasn't going to jump that Saturday. The jump sites are about 100 miles away where her sister lives. That Saturday evening her sister called to tell us the 6:00 news was reporting a serious sky diving accident that involved a chute malfunction.

Hmmmm!!!

Her ambition for sky diving to say the least has dwindled a bit.

Oh my that's terrible about the sky diving accident 9-iron.

I can see why your Dear Wife might change her mind.

no right after these incidents is the best time to skydive cause everybody is "checkin it twice" as the old santa song goes.

You know, I was thinking about this a couple weeks ago when I was making out my organization's long term dreams list, and what I really want to do is to establish 100 libraries around the world, supply pastor packs to every needy pastor in Africa, and get atleast one Bible in the hands of every Christian family in the English speaking world.

Ambitious, huh? ;)

Here's my list...it all involves travel...my favorite thing to do.

*See the Great Wall of China
*Visit the Taj Mahal
*Visit Japan, Kenya, Western Canada (BC especially)
*See the Grand Canyon (I see this one as very doable!)
*Travel across the United States via camper.
*See Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore and the Rocky Mountains (doable too!)

I have had the great blessings from God to see things that were on my dream list in the past:
*The Eiffel Tower (I got to go up it)
*See the sights of London
*Go on a Rhine river cruise in Germany and see old castles
*Visit Notre Dame
*See the Mona Lisa
*Visit Washington DC and see as much of the Smithsonian as I could take in (was just there for the zillionth time this past weekend)
*Do New York City...the Statue of Liberty, the Twin towers (before they were destroyed...I got to on the roof twice), the Empire State Building, broadway plays, etc
*Visit the Cascade mountians including Mt St Helens

I hope I can see more from my undone list before I go to be with the Lord. He has created a wonderful world with lots of cool things to see.
