I tried to draw myself as an Animal Crossing animal villager

I tried to draw myself as an animal villager from Animal Crossing. I failed

It’s SUPPOSED to look like the cat in my profile picture but it kind of looks like something a toddler would draw. It’s really hard to draw the hair because it can’t come off the head if that makes sense.
Any suggestions on how to make it look better? I was thinking maybe removing the yellow part of the eye and making it all black or maybe doing the hair a different way?

WAY better than a toddler would draw! I'd leave it just like it is. Attempted improvements usually end up not being improvements.
