I await First Contact with excitement and it would be wonderful if it happened in my lifetime but we just ain't got the nuts and bolts to go to the moon or at least definitely didn't have them in the 60's...

You know, I sometimes find it pretty unbelievable that they managed it as well.

But I think a lot was luck. The space program had enough spectacular failures in that period to make me think it was in many ways a lucky shot.

Very anti-catholic & very anti-religion. My husband came home lastnight & said he overheard him discussing that the RCC admitted they made up Hell to keep the faithful in line.

I told him that it was news to me. And I keep up on Catholic news.

Then he went on to tell me that this guy believes that space aliens are going to come back & give us the technology we need to have all our electricity for free, etc. No God... but definitely space aliens.

Gaddafi? Not a bad guy. He paid for everything for his people over there. Healthcare. thousand a month, etc.

I told hubby he sounded mentally disturbed to me & maybe someone should be alerted.

He said it's well known but nobody takes him seriously. But it spooked me.

Supposedly he reads all this wackery on the computer. I've never heard of the 'Catholic Church made up hell' conspiracy.

Has anyone else heard of it?

Yep, heard of it.

Read the heresies. They are all still with us. Nothing new.

>Has different beliefs
>"Oh what a nut"

I know a lot of people who are anti-religion who are still all right, and I know a lot of people who think that the existence of aliens is more likely than the existence of God.

And I have heard the argument about the Catholic church making up Hell, actually, from a religion teacher when I was in... tenth grade, I think. I'm not saying I believe it, but who knows, it could be true. Lots of groups use scare tactics to keep their followers in line.

...What he said about Gaddafi seems a bit off though...

A bit off?

Really off.

Not to mention his messianic vision of space aliens.

What I am saying here is not even the tip of the iceberg.

Had an ex bf who was into aliens and such - had his own theories on what the Bible says too.
It was a strange time - back when reading the Bible was a hopeless event for me and i felt he could be right. :p In retrospect - man what was i thinking? :holy:

One thing tho - he was so open - he saw ghosts. Ever see a grown man turn whiter than white and almost pass out?

I would say there no such thing as too much pot, but I never touched the stuff, so I can't.

Well I'm just joking anyway. I have no idea of pot consumption in quantity. :p

Well, one can blackout, depending on the potency of the type of bud and how much is smoked. Doesn't occur as much as with alcohol but it still happens. There is that nasty dry mouth, munchies, and yeah, some people are susceptible to paranoia.

He probably thinks he has a spacecruiser in the backyard and laser blasters in the refrigerator! ^_^
I don't mind harmless people thinking whatever gets them through but there are too many in the news that just go over the edge. That is what worries me. I mean, does he admire Hitler too? Like I said, this is just a small sample of his thinking. It really spooks me.

You can find anything on the internet. I have heard people state that creatures from the early bible days are living among us. I forget what you call them. :D

I worked with a crazy guy before, LOL I said to him once, "when you come in with your assault rifle, remember that I treated you well" LOL He just looked at me. He often made crude comments to woman and seemed more than a little off in dealing with other humans.
I'm used to it in institutions, county homes, etc.

Having it in the workplace is disturbing!
