The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Here is the best advise i can give........ME......42 yrs of age, and still struggling... you are so young, get the help you need now, do not wait, not even a day, and Pray the lord will bring you through this, if you allow him too....

All I can say is that I have to agree with BlessedMom. Reach out for help now before you're even more enslaved to the voice of the e.d. If I could turn back time i'd have accepted help when it was offered and utilised that, honestly, the sooner you can uncover the "true" hurts of your soul the sooner you will find freedom. An e.d. is purely a mask covering those fears, insecurities etc, but it is not an effective way of working through them. Get someone alongside you now and allow them into the dark part of you that you chose to let the e.d. shade. Don't keep anything hidden in the darkness of your heart. I can assure you that you will not ever find happiness or joy walking down this path, and not only does it pain you but it also pains your Father up in Heaven to see you suffer as you are. All the e.d. provides is a barrier to the love and acceptance we were created to recieve. Don't allow it to steal any more of your precious life sweet one.

i know it's hard and i hate it that you are or may be suffereing from this disease. it is quite difficult seeing as though it is the only thing you ever seem to think about. my prayers are with you

I will pray for you. I don't know the answer but I know God does. I am going to try to ask for prayer about my relapse can you ask someone to pray with you ? I'm so sorry you are feeling this way again but with God's help you can fight it off. Lots of hugs, Beth

thank you so much for praying for me. im trying my best and asking God for help. well, me and my friend became anorexic together. i was tough, because we helped each other become it, and now we are both helping each other recover from it. thanks for all the support!
